The project, a single-family home, is built on the edge of a green area. The choice of location was chosen according to the views and the sunshine. The unobstructed view offers the owner of the building beautiful perspectives on the surrounding countryside. The architectural party developed with Max Bauer family friend, focused on two simple and distinct volumes on two levels (basement and ground floor). These two simple volumes house two functions, on the one hand the living space (stone volume) and on the other hand the night space, the rooms in the wooden volume.
Both functions can be identified from the outside by their different façade materials. The living part (living room/kitchen/dining room) is made of natural stone – shale (exterior walls and roof) and the night part (bedrooms) is made of raw natural wood larch (exterior walls and roof).
The interior uses the same language as the exterior. The living/ kitchen/ dining room are covered with a natural stone floor (Spanish stone - Moon Grey), on which rests a set forming kitchen block that is in natural oak.
The night part, meanwhile, is covered with a natural oak floor recalling the exterior of the wooden volume. The roof takes over the aesthetics of Savoyard houses.
